Meet Kali Barbera d'Asti DOCG Superiore, a refined red wine made from 100% Barbera grapes from Castel Boglione. The grapes come from vines over 60 years old on clay and limestone soils, giving the wine unique depth and character. Harvesting takes place by hand during the third week of September to ensure the highest quality. After traditional vinification in cement tanks, the wine is aged for at least 18 months in Slavonian oak barrels, followed by 6 months of bottle aging for perfect balance and harmony.
Kali has an intense and complex aroma with notes of jam, aged fruit, balsamic, and spicy nuances. The refined aging oak adds subtle hints of cinnamon, cocoa, and licorice, while delicate floral notes complete the aroma. On the palate, the wine offers a full and warm flavor with velvety tannins, resulting in an elegant and long finish. Its rich structure and refinement make Kali a wine with great flavor complexity and a harmonious character.
