Productomschrijving
The 'Cairanne rouge AOP' 2024 is a red wine made from 40% Mourvèdre, 20% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 20% Carignon that can be enjoyed beautifully with full main courses.
The grapes for this wine come from various terroirs in the Cairanne vineyards: Chantal, Les Garrigues, Les Combes, Les Partides, La Ridel, and Les Bayes. This selection adds the necessary complexity and harmony to our cuvée, making it a true Cru des Côtes-du-Rhône Cairanne. The vines range in age from 40 to 70 years old, with an average yield of 25hl per hectare. The vineyards are exposed to south-facing sun. Before bottling, the wine is aged for 10 months in concrete tanks, demi-muids (600-liter oak barrels), and even larger barrels. Minimal sulfites (1.5g/hl) are added. The wine has an aging potential of 5 to 7 years under the right conditions.
Domaine Richaud's Cairanne Rouge has a distinctive red color with bright ruby hues. The bouquet and palate offer notes of red jam, dark chocolate, and various spices. The tannins are fine and soft, and the mouthfeel is full yet supple. The expressive fruity notes combine with spices to create an elegant experience.
