Productomschrijving
The 'Vegnot' Dolcetto d'Asti DOC 2023 is a red wine made from 100% Dolcetto, best enjoyed with cured meats and aged cheeses. This wine takes its name from a Piedmontese nickname referring to a small plot of land near home. This wine is known for its complex structure, revealing aromas of ripe fruit and red flowers. Despite its somewhat confusing name, it is a dry wine with moderate acidity. The name actually refers to the flavor of the grape used to make the wine. A unique characteristic of the Dolcetto grape used for this wine is that, despite its name (dolcetto means "little sweet"), it produces wines that are dry and robust, rather than sweet. The "Vegnot" Dolcetto d'Asti DOC is excellent when enjoyed relatively young and pairs well with cured meats, aged cheeses, and dishes with a firm texture, such as pasta with meat sauce or red meat main courses. Traditionally, it also pairs well with the typical dish "bogna cauda." Serve this wine at room temperature, around 12-14°C, for the best experience.
