Château des Cèdres Bordeaux Rouge 2022 is an elegant, balanced red wine from the right bank of Bordeaux, where the vineyards of Vignobles Larroque benefit from sunny slopes and a favourable location along the Garonne river. Combining ripe fruit with refined structure, this cuvée beautifully demonstrates how accessible as well as characterful Bordeaux can be.
The blend consists of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, from vineyards with a planting density of 5,500 vines per hectare. Sustainable viticulture (culture raisonnée) is practised, with harvesting at optimum ripeness and rigorous selection of grapes. Fermentation takes place under controlled temperatures, followed by maturation in stainless steel tanks in the traditional cuverie, keeping the fruity character pure and precise.
In the glass, the wine shows a deep, intense ruby colour. The nose is rich in ripe red and black fruits. On the palate, the tannins are silky smooth and perfectly integrated, creating a full, round and juicy texture. The wine is beautifully structured and balanced, with a long, elegant finish that invites the next glass.
