Winemaker Masterclass: Chon-Frères Vignerons
Friday 18-7 until Sunday 20/7
On Friday 18, Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 July, Rodrigue of domaine Chon-Frères Vignerons comes over from the Loire to Utrecht. Rodrigue is one of two brothers now at the helm of an iconic vineyard in the Loire that they took over from their father. They have made a fresh start in 2024 and focus on low intervention wine from Muscadet, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. They both bring with them baking experience from “internships” at wineries in Marlborough, Languedoc and Burgundy and are now making quite a name for themselves in the Loire. During the masterclass, you will taste their wines while they tell you about their ideas for the wine world of the future.

Winemaker Masterclass: Amandum
Thursday 7/8 until Saturday 9/8
On Thursday 7, Friday 8 and Saturday 9 August, Isabella of Amandum Vini from Friuli-Venezia Giulia will visit Utrecht. Isabella is the latest generation of winemakers from the Amandum empire, working every day to uphold the renowned name of this winery. Its exclusive gourmet wines from indigenous and French grape varieties are poured in Michelin restaurants worldwide, and during Isabella's masterclass you will hear and taste why.

During a wine tasting, we take you on a wine journey along the many winemakers we work with from the most beautiful regions of Germany, France, Italy or the Netherlands. We will tell you the real story about the wine and the winemaker while you get to taste wines you are guaranteed never to have drunk before. These are winemakers who produce too small to sell their souls to large importers, who make fantastic wines in a traditional way, often with the highest ratings and reviews from wine lovers and wine critics.
