Tenuta Polvaro is far from a typical Italian winery. The estate in Annone di Brianza dates back to 1681 and was originally owned by the noble Polvaro family, who supplied timber from the Serenissima Republic of Venice for the Venetian fleet. The property remained in the family for generations until the Candoni De Zan family acquired it in 2010 and began a careful restoration.
Today, sisters Barbara and Caterina lead the estate. Under their guidance, Tenuta Polvaro has become a fully sustainably certified winery (SQNPI), combining tradition with modern viticulture. The proximity of the Adriatic Sea, mineral-rich soils, and the mild Venetian climate give the wines their characteristic freshness and elegance.
During this masterclass, you will taste a selection of their finest wines, including Prosecco, Lison Classico DOCG, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Merlot, and more, while Barbara or Caterina shares the story behind each glass. The masterclass is conducted in English, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions.
