Entre Chien et Loup Red, a French natural wine that's somewhere between day and night, embodies the purity of natural and organic winemaking. Made from 90% Syrah and 10% Grenache Noir grapes, it's grown in clayey, pebble-covered soil.
Young vines, nurtured with organic care, are harvested by hand, resulting in a modest yield of 25 Hl/hectare in the 2024 vintage. In the cellar, fermentation takes place naturally without external additives, with indigenous yeasts at their core. A cold pre-fermentation infusion is followed by fermentation in the liquid phase. Vinification takes place in stainless steel vats, followed by aging in terracotta jars. The wine is vinified and aged without the use of SO2.
At bottling, we once again let nature take its course. Unfined and unfiltered, the wine receives only a homeopathic dose of SO2. With an alcohol content of 13.5% vol., Entre Chien et Loup Red presents itself with a beautiful, fairly light ruby-red color and is characterized by notes of red fruit and white pepper.
The palate is pampered with a generous and deep structure, accompanied by fine and enveloping tannins. Freshness persists throughout the entire tasting. Entre Chien et Loup Red 2024 is an invitation to experience the purity of nature in every sip.
