Productomschrijving
The Roero Arneis DOCG Riserva Bastia 2021 is a white wine from the Bastia region in Vezza d'Alba, Piedmont, Italy, made from 100% Arneis grapes, hand-harvested from vineyards with coarse sand and sandstone. This wine undergoes a short maceration of the skins, followed by gentle pressing and fermentation at 15°C for 15 days, without malolactic fermentation. After 6 months of aging in barriques, it offers a refined complexity with a straw-yellow color and an alcohol content of 13.5%.
Its aroma is intense and long-lasting, with a herbal bouquet of sage, thyme, rosemary, and eucalyptus, rounded out with soft chamomile notes. This aroma combines the freshness of medicinal herbs with the warm woody notes of barrique aging, giving it a unique and inviting personality. It's a wine that lingers in your mind and begs to be discovered.
On the palate, the Riserva Bastia is savory, well-structured, and harmonious, with a dry finish (0.5 g/l sugar) and a total acidity of 5.90 g/l. It pairs perfectly with pasta and risotto dishes, white meats, and seafood, where its elegance enhances the flavors. Serve at 10-12°C in a Bordeaux bottle with a natural cork.
