This natural wine presents itself as an unmistakable red wine with a deep cherry-red color and violet highlights. The nose reveals itself with subtlety, with delicate notes of small fruits, black cherries, blackberries, and spicy aromas.
The palate is lively, characterized by beautiful acidity and fine tannins. The aromatic blend of violets and spicy red fruits creates a structured, savory, and salivating finish. This wine, composed of 100% Grenache Noir, originates from a dedicated vineyard with very old vines, over 60 years old, cultivated according to organic principles and hand-harvested by dedicated men and women, committed to craftsmanship.
With a yield of 25hl/hectare, the 2023 harvest embodies the fruits of organic viticulture. In the cellar, the wine undergoes natural fermentation without any additives. The indigenous yeasts are given space to thrive, with a cold pre-fermentation infusion, followed by gentle extraction during fermentation and aging in stainless steel tanks, earthenware jugs, and old barrels. Vinification and aging are carried out without the use of SO2.
At bottling, nature is once again respected. The wine undergoes no fining or filtration, with only a homeopathic dose of SO2 added. With an alcohol content of 14.5% vol., Chant du Loup Rouge 2023 embodies the essence of organic craftsmanship, where passion for craftsmanship and nature converge in a powerful and characterful wine.
