La Trava's Barolo DOCG is a majestic wine that expresses the essence of 100% Nebbiolo. This king of wines is aged for an impressive 50 months in large oak barrels, resulting in impressive depth, structure, and complexity. The result is a powerful red wine that respectfully reflects its origins in the heart of the Langhe region.
In the glass, the Barolo reveals itself with a ruby red color that subtly transitions to brick-colored nuances – a sign of its aging. The aroma is intense and layered, with notes of ripe fruit, dried herbs, and warm spices. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and rich, with firm yet elegant tannins and an excellent balance between power and finesse. The long, lingering finish emphasizes its impressive character.
This Barolo is ideally suited to robust dishes such as game, stews, truffle dishes, and aged, hard cheeses. Serve it at 16-18°C and give it plenty of time to breathe: this will allow it to unfold its full richness and transform every sip into a special experience.

Mooie Barolo. Al bijzonder goed op dronk als je van de kenmerkende tannines houdt die Nebbiolo-wijn altijd heeft. Ben benieuwd wat er gebeurt de komende jaren nu ik ze in mijn wijnkelder heb gelegd. La Trava afgelopen zomer bezocht, fijn om onze vakantiewijnen nog te kunnen kopen vanuit huis.
De wijn komt direct van de wijnboeren, zij sturen de flessen ook eigenhandig op.

All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
