Château des Cèdres Cuvée Prestige 2022 is the estate's most concentrated and gourmet expression, coming from sun-drenched slopes along the Garonne river. This cuvée shows how power and elegance go hand in hand in Bordeaux: intense in character but with refined structure and length.
The blend consists of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, from vineyards with a planting density of 5,500 vines per hectare. Sustainable viticulture (culture raisonnée) is practised, with harvesting at optimum ripeness and careful selection of grapes. Fermentation takes place under controlled temperatures, followed by 12 months of ageing in oak barrels, which adds depth, complexity and refined wood tones.
In the glass, the wine shows deep aromas of ripe black fruits, supported by elegant, warm tannins. The wood ageing adds subtle notes of toast and vanilla, nicely intertwined with the fruit. On the palate, the wine is full and structured but silky in texture, with a long, refined finish on fine tannins. A cuvée with class and storage potential.
