The Moscato d’Asti DOCG by Mauro Sebaste is an elegant, lightly sparkling wine that perfectly expresses the fresh and floral character of the Moscato grape grown in the hills of Mango, Bricco Avene, and Schiasso. The vineyards, located at around 500 meters above sea level, benefit from a mild climate and calcareous soils that enhance the wine’s aromatic intensity and vibrant freshness.
After a meticulous hand harvest in September, the grapes are gently pressed and fermented at low temperatures, preserving the natural carbon dioxide that gives Moscato d’Asti its signature delicate sparkle. Fermentation is stopped early to retain the balance between natural sweetness and refreshing acidity. With only 5% alcohol and about 140 g/l of residual sugar, this Moscato offers a harmonious interplay of silky sweetness and lively brightness.
In the glass, it shines a straw-yellow color with golden reflections. The bouquet is fragrant and persistent, with notes of peach, apricot, orange blossom, and a hint of muscat. On the palate, it is light, fresh, and elegant, with a gentle sparkle and a lingering, aromatic finish. The Moscato d’Asti DOCG is perfect with desserts and fine pastries, but also pairs beautifully with fresh fruit or soft cheeses. Serve well-chilled to enjoy its aromatic freshness to the fullest.
