Il Sapiente 2022 is a masterful wine that combines flavor and artistry. This blend of Primitivo and Cabernet Sauvignon allows both grape varieties to shine in the fertile Canale di Pirro region. The combination of these powerful grapes creates a rich and full-bodied wine that is a true example of a Super Apulian blend. Behind this wine lies a careful method, dedication, and a deep-rooted passion.
With its deep ruby red color and compact structure, Il Sapiente is visually impressive. The nose unfolds refined notes of cocoa and sweet spices, harmoniously combined with aromas of black and red fruit jam, juniper, and subtle hints of noble vegetal nuances. The palate is powerful and full-bodied, with a perfect balance between aroma and flavor. The fresh acidity and soft tannins give the wine a refined structure and a long finish.
This wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barriques and barrels, followed by at least 12 months in the bottle. With an alcohol content of 16% and a 12-year aging potential, Il Sapiente offers a wonderful experience. Serve it at 18°C with flavorful dishes such as grilled meat, lamb, game, or aged cheeses. It also pairs perfectly neat as a finishing touch to a meal.
