Maison Kavaklidere carries a story that spans almost a century, starting in 1929 in Ankara, where the Basman family founded Turkey's first wine producer. Four generations later, Ali Basman, together with the internationally renowned Stéphane Derenoncourt, decided to connect the knowledge gained and deep-rooted respect for soil and grape to one of the world's most prestigious wine regions. Their shared vision led them to Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux, where the adventure began in 2016 with the purchase of Château La Croix Lartigue, followed by Château Claud Bellevue. Thus was born Maison Kavaklidere, as a bridge between the terroirs of Anatolia and those of Castillon's limestone plateau.
