Since July 2026, winemakers from across Europe host masterclasses at our concept store on De Clercqstraat 130 in Amsterdam West. It turns a wine tasting in Amsterdam into a meeting with the maker in person.

How it works
Tasting wine in Amsterdam with the maker in person
Amsterdam has plenty of wine bars and tastings, but nowhere does the winemaker pour your glass in person. At our masterclasses you taste several wines from a single estate, from Barolo to natural wine, and ask your questions directly to the maker. More intimate than a wine festival, more personal than a course. The winemaker is usually our guest for a whole weekend: you choose the session that suits you. And once a year we turn it around: at the Tasting Event · Winemakers Edition, several winemakers come to the shop at the same time.
All wines can be ordered on the spot. Take them home right away, or order a case (6 bottles) or more and we deliver free of charge by cargo bike within 5 km of De Clercqstraat. Further away? Your order arrives at your home the following week, anywhere in the Netherlands.
The location
Our shop in Amsterdam West
The tastings take place at our wine shop on De Clercqstraat 130, the lively shopping street between the Jordaan and De Baarsjes. Trams 13 and 19 stop almost at the door; from Amsterdam Centraal you're there in about fifteen minutes. Parking is available at Q-Park De Hallen, a few minutes' walk away.

What does a wine tasting in Amsterdam cost? ▾
A masterclass costs €15 per person. You taste several wines and get the explanation from the winemaker in person. The Tasting Event · Winemakers Edition on Sunday 13 September costs €20 per person; for that you taste over 40 special wines from 4 winemakers at once. Reserve tickets through the ticket link at the event.
What is the Tasting Event · Winemakers Edition? ▾
One Sunday a year, our shop in Amsterdam West turns into a mini festival. On 13 September 2026, 4 winemakers from the Not Your Average Winefestival stay in the Netherlands one day longer and spread out across the shop, with over 40 special wines open. You get to know the face and the story behind the wine. You pick a session from 14:00 to 17:00 or from 18:00 to 21:00, taste everything and buy directly from the maker.
Can I come with a group or corporate outing? ▾

How do I get there by public transport? ▾
Trams 13 and 19 stop at De Clercqstraat, almost at the door. From Amsterdam Centraal you're there in about fifteen minutes on tram 13.
