No importerNot your average wine festival in Utrecht
At most wine festivals an importer pours you a well-known label and you shuffle on to the next stand. Not at Not Your Average Winefestival: here the winemakers themselves stand behind the table, the people who prune, harvest and make the wine. You taste their wines, hear why a vintage turned out the way it did and buy straight from the maker, without a middleman.
You may know the festival as the ONWINE Oogstfeest or the Wijnmakersfeest. Same soul, sharper name. Have a look at all winemakers on ONWINE or the wines from across Europe on the platform.
Your day at the wine festival
Two days, 16.00 to 23.00, Kanaal30 in Utrecht.
Taste 50+ wines
More than fifty wines from across Europe, poured by the six makers themselves, from Timorasso from Piedmont to Ribeiro from Galicia. What you like, you take home right away or have delivered, in time for the holidays.
Free masterclass
30 minutes in depth with the winemaker of your choice, tasting three of their wines. In the week before the festival you get the sign-up link by email. Places are limited.
Dance into the evening
After the tasting the glass stays out. The afternoon rolls into the evening with music and a dance floor.
Oyster bar and food
There is an oyster bar, so your glass of Albariño or Riesling comes with fresh oysters. What else there is to eat, we announce soon.

“A wine festival for wine lovers, with the winemakers on the main stage instead of the DJs.”

Definitely. There is an oyster bar with fresh oysters, perfect with a crisp white wine. What else there is to eat, we announce soon. Food is served from 16.00 to 23.00.
Did this festival use to have a different name?
It did. Earlier editions ran as the ONWINE Oogstfeest and the Wijnmakersfeest. The concept stayed the same; the name became Not Your Average Winefestival.
Is this the same as a wine tasting?
No, the festival is our big event with six winemakers and more than fifty wines at once. If you prefer something more intimate, winemakers host masterclasses in our shops all year round. Have a look at the wine tasting in Utrecht.
