Product description
The Barbaresco DOCG Fausoni is an exceptional wine from one of the most characteristic cru's of the Barbaresco region, located near the historic center of Neive. Thanks to its west-southwest exposure and unique soil composition, this wine develops intense color, firm structure and balanced acidity. Made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, this wine undergoes a traditional vinification with a maceration of about 14 days, followed by a 24-month aging in French oak barrels. After further refinement in bottle, it develops its true character, with great aging potential for up to 15 years.
In the glass, the Barbaresco Fausoni shines with a deep ruby color. The complex aroma reveals ripe notes of wild berries, floral hints of violets and a subtle touch of licorice. As the wine ages, refined spicy accents and notes of tobacco emerge, adding depth and elegance. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and fresh, with soft tannins providing a velvety texture. The balance between fruit, spice and acidity makes each sip a refined experience.
This Barbaresco is perfect with flavorful dishes such as truffle risotto, slow-cooked beef, duck breast and aged cheeses. Serve it at a temperature of 18-20°C to bring out its full expression and enjoy a wine that only gets better with age.
