The earliest mention of the Coda di Volpe grape comes from Pliny the Elder, who wrote about “caudas vulpium” – meaning “fox tails” – in Book XIV of his Naturalis Historia. The name of this grape variety comes from the curved shape at the top of the cluster, resembling a fox’s tail. This historical touch gives the wine a special charm, as if each sip carries a bit of ancient Roman wisdom.
The Coda di Volpe has a straw-yellow color with golden reflections that catch the light beautifully. Its scent is fine and intense, blending fruity and floral notes that gently wrap around the senses.
