Often called the "King" of Sicilian grapes, Nero d'Avola is known for its strength, high alcohol content and firm structure. Although the grape has historically been used to enhance northern wines, we believe its true essence lies in elegance rather than sheer power. By carefully choosing the right harvest timing and aging the wine in Sicilian chestnut barrels, we highlight precisely the freshness, acidity and refined character traits of Nero d'Avola.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, after which the wine is further aged in large chestnut barrels for a year. This process creates a fruity, full-bodied yet fresh wine that offers a harmonious balance between body and refinement.
This Nero d'Avola from Camporeale is particularly suitable as an accompaniment to red meats such as beef and pork, game dishes and richer meals.
