Bruusj is a lively pearl wine from Holset, Limburg, made from sustainably grown souvignier gris (86%) and johanniter (14%). The grapes were hand-picked and after fermentation on inox tanks, the wine underwent a complete malolactic transformation. At bottling, a light bubble was added via carbon dioxide injection, resulting in a subtle sparkle of 2.5 bar pressure.
The aroma is expressive and summery, with notes of peach, apricot and pineapple. On the palate, Bruusj is full-bodied and fruity with fresh acidity (6.1 g/l) and a gentle residual sweetness (12 g/l), making for a perfectly balanced and accessible style. The alcohol content remains pleasantly low at 10.5%, making this pearl wine especially suitable for light and festive moments.
Bruusj does best as an aperitif, but is also an excellent companion to antipasti, fresh salads and fruity desserts. Serve it well-chilled and enjoy this cheerful Limburg bubble full of character and elegance. Only 2976 bottles bottled - a true limited edition from the Heuvelland region.
