The Il Picchio Passerina is a fresh, aromatic white wine that shows why this authentic grape from Marche is gaining appreciation. Although Passerina has long been in the shadow of better-known Italian grape varieties, this wine proves just how much character and elegance the grape holds. Made from 100% Passerina, sourced from the hills of Marche, this wine combines an accessible style with surprising depth. Moreover, it is produced organically and is completely vegan.
In the glass, the wine shines with a bright golden yellow colour. The aroma opens with inviting aromas of pear, apple, citrus, peach and tropical fruit, complemented by subtle notes of wild flowers. On the palate, the wine presents itself fresh and lively, with juicy fruit, uplifting acidity and a slight spiciness. A delicate bitterness in the finish adds tension and makes the wine particularly balanced and drinkable.
This versatile white wine is an excellent companion to light dishes such as antipasti, fish, fresh salads, cold starters and young cheeses.
