Product description
Vermentino di Sardegna DOC is the classic expression of Sardinia’s most iconic white grape variety, grown on the island’s calcareous and sandy soils. The Mediterranean climate—with warm days, cool nights, and the constant influence of the sea breeze—ensures optimal ripening of the grapes, while preserving their freshness and minerality to the fullest. After a hand-harvest, the grapes are destemmed and gently pressed in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, after which the wine is bottled cold to preserve its delicate aromatic profile.
In the glass, the Vermentino displays a bright straw-yellow color with green reflections. The nose is intense and inviting, with aromatic notes of citrus, white flowers, white peach, and a subtle spiciness reminiscent of Mediterranean scrub. On the palate, the wine is dry, full-bodied, and juicy, with lively acidity and a characteristic hint of almond bitterness in the finish that is typical of the Vermentino grape. The briny minerality gives the wine its unmistakable Sardinian character.
Vermentino di Sardegna is an excellent choice as an aperitif, paired with seafood appetizers, shellfish, and fish dishes. Its crisp freshness and Mediterranean character also make it ideal with pasta with fish, grilled sea bream, and light salads.
