Champagne Hautbois is a small family estate in Pévy, in the heart of the Massif de Saint-Thierry. The family has been making champagne here for five generations; today Sandrine and Fabien Hautbois are at the helm. They work around eight hectares on the terroirs of Pévy and Villiers-Franqueux, sustainably and HVE-certified.
What makes this house special: Pinot Meunier plays a remarkably large role. The estate also works with all five traditional champagne grapes, including the rare old varieties Arbane and Petit Meslier. The result is refined, elegant and expressive champagnes that reflect the character of their terroir.
During this masterclass you taste champagne in all its layers: young and mature champagnes, millésimés and monocépages, champagnes made from a single grape. You will taste what each grape brings to a champagne, with the story of the estate alongside. A festive way to end the year, just before the holidays. Want a preview? Discover the champagnes of Hautbois.
