The 2024 Sauvignon Blanc (dry) from Weingut Jonas Kiefer is an inviting and lively white wine that showcases the potential of the warm, sheltered loess soils around Worms-Wiesoppenheim. By harvesting early, Jonas Kiefer fully preserves the grape’s fresh aromas. The must is then aged reductively in stainless steel tanks, ensuring that none of that freshness is lost.
The colour is a bright pale yellow, which immediately suggests that this is a fresh, straightforward wine. The nose is distinctly aromatic with typical notes of green pepper and gooseberry, and a hint of grass. On the palate, the wine is fresh, juicy and lively, with a pleasant green fruitiness that lingers nicely. A wine that appeals straight away.
