The Chianti DOCG "Poggio alla Farnia" is an organic wine from the heart of Tuscany, a region with a centuries-old winemaking tradition. This characterful wine is made from 80% Sangiovese, supplemented with 10% Merlot and 10% Bonamico, a local grape variety rarely used outside the region and contributing to the unique character of this Chianti.

The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully collected in small bins to preserve their quality. Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures between 18 and 22°C for fifteen days. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine is aged on fine yeasts, which promotes malolactic fermentation and adds complexity. The wine is then transferred to concrete tanks for further refinement, contributing to its purity and structure.

In the glass, this Chianti presents itself with a bright ruby ​​purple color. The aroma is intensely fruity, with pronounced notes of cherries, red berries, plums, and prunes, complemented by floral nuances of violets and a subtle spice. On the palate, the wine is fresh and juicy, with soft tannins that provide a pleasant balance. The palate is rounded out with a refined minerality and a long, fruity finish with hints of licorice and red fruit.
