Productomschrijving
This Chianti from Fattoria Pagnana is a classic representative of Tuscan wine tradition, made from Sangiovese and Canaiolo grapes. Fermentation takes place in cement tanks with decreasing pumping intensity, in contact with the skins for two weeks. Only indigenous yeasts are used, which contributes to the expression of the terroir. Aging takes place partly in cement tanks and partly in the bottle, resulting in a balanced and elegant wine.
In the glass, this Chianti reveals itself with a bright ruby red color. On the nose, it offers refined aromas of red fruit like cherries and plums, floral notes of violets, and a subtle hint of leather. On the palate, the wine is harmonious and juicy, with a fresh, medium body and a surprisingly long finish. The texture is refined, the flavor profile balanced and vibrant – exactly what one would expect from an authentic Chianti.
This wine pairs particularly well with grilled white meats, such as chicken or barbecued pork. Semi-mature cheeses also make a delicious pairing with the fruity and floral elegance of this wine. An ideal choice for a dinner featuring classic Tuscan dishes or an appetizer platter of Italian delicacies.
