The Piemonte Rosso DOC "Amis" was the first wine made by Gianluca in 1992, a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Barbera. This red wine aged for two years in wooden barrels and another two years in the bottle, creating a careful balance between fruity flavors and a solid body. It’s a wine with a long history and a promising future.
With its balanced structure, the "Amis" offers a rich taste that’s both fresh and strong. The mix of the three grape types makes a harmonious whole, where the fruit notes of Merlot and Barbera blend with the robustness of Cabernet Sauvignon. The Korked screw cap with controlled oxygen flow ensures this wine can keep developing for years.
Serve the "Amis" at 18°C to 20°C to fully taste its balance and complexity, for example with hearty meat dishes or aged cheeses. This pioneering work by Gianluca from 1992 shows how skill and patience come together in a wine that keeps evolving and impressing.
