Antas Petit Verdot from Bodega Sierra Almagrera is a powerful and structured red wine from Antas in Almería, where poor soils and a Mediterranean climate with continental influences create concentrated grapes with deep aromatic intensity.
The 100% Petit Verdot grapes are harvested by hand and rigorously selected. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with daily manual extraction to optimally develop colour, structure and aromas. The wine is then aged for 12 months in French and American oak barrels, followed by at least 12 months of bottle aging, adding complexity and balance.
In the glass, it shows a deep cherry red colour with purple reflections. The nose is intense and layered, with aromas of black fruits such as blackberry and blueberry, complemented by ripe plum, balsamic notes, almond and subtle wood influences. On the palate, it is full and powerful, with a rich structure, soft roundness and a long, elegant finish that combines fruit and spiciness.
