Product description
The Nizza DOCG “Costemonghisio” by Mauro Sebaste is a powerful yet elegant expression of the Barbera grape, showcasing the distinctive character of the Vinchio hills in the Asti district. The vineyards lie at about 280 meters above sea level with a southeast exposure, on sandy soils rich in silt and veins of clay, which give the wine both structure and freshness.
After a careful hand harvest in small 25 kg boxes, the grapes undergo additional selection on vibrating tables before a gentle pressing. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks with daily pump-overs and cap management over eight to ten days. The wine is then aged for at least twelve months in tonneaux and spends another six months in bottle before release.
Deep ruby red in color, this wine offers an intense bouquet of cherry and red fruits. On the palate, it is structured and full-bodied, with a bright acidity that adds freshness while maintaining a soft, rounded finish. The Nizza “Costemonghisio” pairs beautifully with roasts, game, and aged cheeses. Serve at room temperature to appreciate its full complexity and depth.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: €6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
