Barbaresco DOCG I Patriarchi
This elegant and powerful Barbaresco is made from carefully selected Nebbiolo grapes sourced from the top vineyards of Neive. After a manual harvest in early October, the wine undergoes a traditional maceration of twelve days and matures for thirty months in French oak barrels. The wine shows a refined balance of red fruit, floral notes and spicy nuances.
On the palate it is harmonious, with soft tannins and a fresh structure. It develops beautifully between five and ten years after harvest and is best served at 18 to 20 degrees Celsius.
Barolo DOCG Francone
Francone's Barolo traces its origins back to 1958 and is made from one hundred percent Nebbiolo. The grapes from La Morra and Monforte are hand harvested in October. After a traditional fermentation and maceration of fourteen to sixteen days, the wine matures for around thirty months in French oak barrels, followed by at least six months of bottle ageing.
The wine has a deep garnet red colour with aromas of ripe red fruit, spices and subtle oak notes. The structure is full and powerful, with refined acidity and gently developing tannins. The wine shows best between four and twelve years after harvest.
It pairs beautifully with dishes featuring truffle, game, roasted or braised meat and aged cheeses. Serve at 18 to 20 degrees Celsius. Production is limited to only three thousand bottles.
