Product description
The Moscato d'Asti DOCG by Matteo Poggio is a refined and elegant wine, perfect for those looking for a light and aromatic experience. Made from 100% Moscato Bianco di Canelli, sourced from carefully selected vineyards in Castel Boglione, this wine offers an outstanding balance between freshness and sweetness. The grapes are gently pressed with the utmost care, after which the must is transferred in an autoclave until second fermentation. This process is stopped at an alcohol content of 5.5%, allowing the wine to retain its natural sweetness and sparkling character.
The Moscato d'Asti is aged exclusively in stainless steel tanks to preserve its fresh and fruity notes. With an average vineyard age of 30 to 35 years, a southeast exposure and a location at 430 meters above sea level, the grapes benefit from optimal ripening conditions. This results in a wine with an intense aromatic profile, characterized by notes of ripe fruit, flowers and a subtle honeyed undertone.
This wine is best enjoyed at a serving temperature of 8°C and ideally served in a wide beaker to allow the aromas to fully develop. Perfect as a refreshing aperitif on a summer day, but also an excellent companion to fresh fruits, pastries and even aged cheeses. A refined choice for special moments and good company.
