The 2020 Crémant Brut Nature is a sparkling wine made from 70% Pinot Meunier (Schwarzriesling) and 30% Chardonnay and is best enjoyed as an aperitif or with desserts such as tarte tatin or cheese boards.
The 2020 Crémant Brut Nature has a rich aroma of apple skin and brioche, and on the palate it remains completely dry but deliciously juicy. The subtle, fine perlage provides a balanced structure with a long finish. This sparkling wine, made by the traditional method in bottle, is a classic Crémant cuvee made from 70% Pinot Meunier and 30% Chardonnay, lightly pressed and carefully made with a low amount of sulfites.
The designation Crémant is awarded only to sparkling wines that meet specific requirements, such as traditional bottle fermentation, whole cluster pressing and a yield of no more than 100 liters per 150 kilograms of grapes. The grapes for this Crémant come from the exclusive Verrenberg vineyard, harvested by hand and carefully pressed.
The 2020 vintage brought warm, dry conditions with high ripeness. The summer offered ideal weather conditions, and the cool nights in September ensured that the fresh acidity was maintained, making this vintage very long-lasting. Drink this Crémant until 2028, chilled between 8 and 12 degrees Celsius.
For a festive atmosphere, this wine is perfect as an aperitif or with a mix of flavorful appetizers such as varied sushi, desserts such as tarte tatin, or an elaborate cheese platter.
