Saignée Rosé is a robust rosé wine made primarily from the Lemberger grape. The wine is produced using the traditional French “Saignée” method, which involves draining some of the juice during the puree fermentation of red wines, a process that gives the wine its name, referring to “bloodletting.” This technique results in a powerful rosé with rich fruit notes of vineyard peach, red currant and red apple.
Wine pairing: This Saignée Rosé comes out particularly well on the patio on warm summer evenings or served with blinis with crème fraîche and smoked salmon.
