This tasting package from Ca’ Peruzzetto showcases the versatility of the Piave region. From a crisp frizzante to characterful white and red wines, each bottle reflects Michele’s contemporary vision and his love for local grape varieties.
'Alvaro' Grapariol Frizzante IGT Veneto is a white sparkling wine made from 100% Grapariol, also known as Rabosa binaco. The wine is fresh and has a pleasant acidity, which is distinctive and characteristic of this type of wine and reminiscent of the larger, more famous sparkling wines. Only 200 bottles of this wine are produced annually. This Alvaro is best enjoyed as an aperitif.
Carménère DOC Piave 2021 is a red wine made from Carménère. This grape variety originates from Bordeaux but finds some of its finest expression in the Piave region. The mouthfeel is round with slightly present tannins and a hint of spice. This makes it best paired with appetizers and spicy dishes with an extra hint of pepper.
'Condirosso' Verduzzo DOC Piave 2022 is a white wine made from Verduzzo Trevigiano grapes. This complex, versatile wine has a soft mouthfeel, enveloping with a pleasant, slightly bitter finish. Its complexity makes it a good match for fish dishes or bold dishes with intense flavors. It also pairs well with a wide-ranging appetizer platter featuring charcuterie and lighter cheeses. This wine is a dedication to a temporary resident of Ca' Peruzzetto, the Codirosso Spazzacamino. This migratory bird resides at the estate during the autumn.
