Product description
Weingut Pleil's Donauriesling 2025 is a modern and characterful white wine from the Weinviertel region. This special PIWI grape was developed at the renowned Klosterneuburg winemaking school and is known for its natural resistance to disease. Donauriesling combines sustainability with a surprisingly sophisticated flavour profile and shows how innovative Austrian viticulture can be.
On the nose, the wine opens with delicate aromas of stone fruit, fresh citrus and pink grapefruit. On the palate, it presents itself lively and juicy, with a harmonious balance between fresh acidity and ripe fruit. Tones of apple, lemon and a subtle hint of pineapple jelly provide a playful and refined taste experience. Thanks to loess loam soils with gravel and sand, the wine retains a nice minerality and elegance, while the fresh structure provides a long and energetic finish.
This Donauriesling is particularly versatile at the table and pairs excellently with vegetarian dishes, light pasta and fresh Mediterranean cuisine. Its lively and aromatic character also comes into its own beautifully as an aperitif. A modern Austrian white wine full of freshness, innovation and drinking pleasure.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: β¬6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
