Product description
Tenimenti Collespino’s Primum 2010 is a characterful red wine from Narni, in southern Umbria. The wine is a blend of 47% Sangiovese, 30% Sagrantino and 23% Alicante. The grapes come from a small 1.2-hectare vineyard, situated on a hill at an altitude of 220 metres. Its south-southeast-facing aspect ensures plenty of sunshine, good ventilation and marked temperature differences between day and night.
The vineyard was planted in 2006 and has approximately 5,500 vines per hectare. The clay-rich soil of fossil origin and the yield of around 60 quintals of grapes per hectare form the basis for the wine’s structure and character. The grapes are harvested by hand during the last ten days of September. Following vinification, the wine is aged for 12 months in wood, in a combination of tonneaux and barriques, which lends it extra depth and complexity.
In the glass, the Primum 2010 offers a lovely combination of ripe fruit, spiciness and structure. Aromas of ripe cherries and plums are complemented by dark berries, dried herbs and subtle notes of spices and oak. The wine has a firm yet elegant structure, with fresh acidity and refined tannins that provide balance. An excellent accompaniment to roasted or pan-fried meat, particularly pork and lamb.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: €6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
