Product description
Weingut Habersack - ‘DiAMANT’ Cuvée Trocken Weingut Habersack lies in Weiden am See in Burgenland, close to Lake Neusiedl. Since 2020, Karin, the fourth generation, has run the family estate. All vineyard work is done by hand, without insecticides or herbicides. This organic cuvée is made from Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay. Part of the Pinot Blanc ages for six months on the lees in American oak. The Chardonnay stays in steel for freshness. On the nose you’ll find yellow fruit, brioche and a touch of vanilla. On the palate it’s soft and creamy, with ripe peach and a long finish. Serve lightly chilled with lamb, rich poultry or a creamy gratin.
Eskerwijn - Esker Wit Chardonnay Barrique 2024 A full-bodied Chardonnay from Twente in the Netherlands. Eskerwijn lies in Langeveen, on the Mandjesberg. This meltwater ridge was formed beneath a glacier and is the only above-ground esker in the Netherlands. The first vines went into the ground in 2021, and in 2024 six debut wines already won medals. Since 2025 the estate has had its own protected designation of origin: PDO Esker-Langeveen. This Chardonnay ages for eight months in French oak barrels. You’ll taste peach and pear, with vanilla, toasted wood and a hint of nutmeg. Creamy and layered, with a fresh structure. Delicious with grilled salmon, roast chicken or a creamy bake.
Agricola Mevante - ‘Birbantéo’ Sur Lie Umbria Bianco IGT In the hills of Bevagna, in Umbria’s Sagrantino country, siblings Paolo and Antonella Presciutti brought a dormant winery back to life. All their vineyards face east, towards the first light of morning. In the cellar, the wine moves from step to step by gravity, without pumps. Birbantéo is made from the native Trebbiano Spoletino. The wine ages for no less than 15 months on the lees, followed by another 12 months in large French oak barrels. The result is a golden, full and round white wine. It shows white flowers, white peach, balsamic notes and subtle spice. Lovely with refined vegetarian dishes, antipasti or soft cheese.
Montali - Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOP Patrizio left a long career in a completely different industry behind to live in harmony with nature. In 2010 he planted his first vines in Manoppello, between the Majella mountains and the Adriatic Sea. The estate is fully organic and the grapes are hand-picked. After harvest, the grapes rest for 16 hours so the aromas can develop further. The wine then ferments and ages for nine months in concrete tanks. Intense red, with blueberry, ripe cherry and cinnamon. Full and enveloping, with firm tannins and a round, spicy style. Perfect with grilled meat or pecorino.
Pietro Beconcini - ‘IXE’ Tempranillo Toscana Tempranillo in Tuscany? At Pietro Beconcini in San Miniato, yes. Leonardo Beconcini and Eva Bellagamba combine the family estate’s tradition with an open mind. They turn this Spanish grape into an organic Tuscan wine. The grapes come from vines 15 to 23 years old, on sandstone rich in marine fossils. After 30 days of skin maceration with wild yeasts, IXE ages for 15 months, half in French oak and half in concrete. Deep ruby red, with dark fruit, flowers and intense minerality. Velvety and complex, with fresh acidity. Awarded two glasses by Gambero Rosso. Open it an hour in advance and serve with Tuscan dishes or pasta.
Vinicola Arno - ‘Lorella’ Nizza DOCG In Piedmont’s Nizza, Vinicola Arno makes almost nothing but Barbera, and you can taste it. The vineyards are farmed without pesticides, herbicides or chemical additives. Lorella is 100% Barbera from Nizza DOCG, the top appellation for this grape. It ages for at least 22 months, of which at least 12 are in small French oak barrels. Intense ruby red, with ripe cherries and red fruit, followed by sweet spice, cocoa and tobacco. Deep, full and enveloping, with lively freshness and a long, refined finish. A wine that can age for years to come. Excellent with aged cheese, grilled red meat or game.
