Insolia is one of Sicily’s oldest white grape varieties, at home on the island for centuries and particularly well adapted to the warm, dry conditions of the west coast. Arini Vini grows the grapes in the province of Trapani, in vineyards around Marsala and Mazara del Vallo, just a few metres above sea level. The soil is sandy and slightly clayey, the summers hot and well-ventilated, the winters mild. It is an environment that pushes the Insolia to root deeply and preserve its aromatic freshness.
The grapes are harvested by hand and processed using traditional white wine methods: gentle pressing followed by temperature-controlled fermentation. This approach preserves the delicate, floral aromatics of the variety and gives the wine its characteristic lightness and freshness.
In the glass it shows a pale straw yellow with greenish reflections. The nose is subtle and floral. On the palate it is dry, soft, and balanced, with a medium structure and a fresh finish. A versatile white wine that excels as an aperitif and is naturally at home alongside fish dishes, seafood, and light white meat. Serve in a tulip glass at 8 degrees.
