The Langhe DOC Riesling 2022 is an elegant and aromatic white wine made from 100% Riesling Renano, sourced from a vineyard in the municipality of Clavesana in the Langhe, Piedmont. After a summer thinning, the grapes are harvested by hand in the first week of September in perforated 25 kg crates. Following a short cold storage period, the grapes are selected on a vibrating table and gently pressed. The must then ferments for ten days at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks, after which the wine rests for eight months on its fine lees with regular suspension. To preserve the typical aromatic characteristics of the Riesling grape, the wine is bottled under screw cap.
In the glass, the Riesling shows a clear straw yellow colour with light green reflections. The nose is complex and varied, with floral notes, citrus, lime and apple, complemented by a fine minerality and soft hints of flint. On the palate the wine is fresh, balanced and savoury, with a pronounced verticality and a good, lingering finish.
Thanks to its lively freshness, the Langhe Riesling is excellent as an aperitif, but also pairs beautifully with raw fish, sushi and fresh cheeses.
