The 'Manifesto' is much more than just an orange wine. It is a clear statement of sustainability, innovation, and contemporary winemaking. This natural-style wine is made entirely from the Johanniter grape – a resilient crossing of Riesling and Freiburg – which is ideal for environmentally conscious cultivation. Its hardy nature allows for reduced intervention in the vineyard, lowering both water usage and the overall carbon footprint. The maceration process enhances the grape’s sensory qualities, resulting in a modern-day orange wine with depth and character.
Grown on east-facing hillsides in the Marche region at 200 meters above sea level, the vineyard’s sandy, well-balanced soils and distinct microclimate create a unique terroir that shines through in the wine. After careful hand-harvesting in mid-August, the wine undergoes a two-week skin-contact fermentation at a controlled temperature, followed by five months of aging in stainless steel tanks. The result is a harmonious, vibrant wine full of natural expression, with layers of complexity and aromas that reflect the land it comes from.
Manifesto embodies a new generation — not only in taste but in philosophy. From the use of electric tractors in the vineyards to the bottle itself — made entirely from recycled glass and sealed with a sustainable Ocean stopper made from recovered ocean-bound plastic — every element is crafted with environmental responsibility in mind. There is no capsule, the label is made from FSC-certified paper, and the packaging is deliberately minimal. Manifesto is the voice of a generation that lives in the present while boldly facing the future — creative, forward-thinking, and committed to a sustainable answer to climate change.
