The Polvaro Pinot Grigio D.O.C. Venezia is a fresh and delicate white wine from Tenuta Polvaro, an estate with an unbroken wine-making tradition since 1681 in eastern Veneto. Made from 100% Pinot Grigio, grown in the historic Lison Classico zone just a few kilometres from Venice, this wine reflects the region's mild, balanced climate. The vineyards lie on well-draining clay-limestone soils and benefit from the shelter of the Dolomites and the cooling sea breeze from the Adriatic Sea, creating grapes with fine aromatic expression and natural freshness.
Vinification follows a traditional white wine-making process with gentle pressing and cold static settling, followed by fermentation at 18°C for eight to 10 days with carefully selected yeasts. The wine then matures for four months in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with regular bâtonnage, fully preserving its pure fruitiness and freshness. In the glass, it shows a pale straw yellow colour with greenish reflections. The bouquet is delicate and inviting, with notes of pear, white peach and acacia blossom. On the palate, it is dry and fresh, with harmonious balance and a long, pleasant finish.
