Riesling Schenkenberg 2017 is a remarkably elegant and aromatic Riesling that immediately exudes charm and sophistication. In the glass, the wine shows a bright yellow-green colour with a lively sheen. The nose is intense and floral, highly expressive and inviting, with an aromatic freshness that immediately catches the eye. This floral signature sets the tone for a Riesling that dares to be just that little bit different.
On the palate, the wine comes across as open and pure, with pronounced notes of white flowers that are exceptional for Riesling. Minerality, freshness and balance are at the heart of this wine, with the slightly sweet style nicely balanced by lively acidity. The finish is refined and persistent, with a floral finish that gives the wine its unique character.
This organically certified Riesling is best enjoyed at a serving temperature of 8 to 10 degrees. It is an excellent companion to seafood such as grilled fish, oysters, mussels or a classic choucroute with fish, but also goes nicely with white meat. Thanks to its structure and freshness, this wine has a storage potential of up to 15 years.
