Domaine Brun Avril's Côtes-du-Rhône Rouge 2024 is an expressive and accessible wine that perfectly reflects the character of the southern Rhône. Sourced from clay-limestone soils and shaped by the powerful Mistral wind, the grapes develop beautiful concentration and ripeness. These natural conditions create a wine with both depth and elegance.
The blend of 60% Syrah and 40% Grenache is carefully hand-harvested and rigorously selected. Vinification is done in concrete and stainless steel, using indigenous yeasts to express the terroir in the purest way possible. Slow low-temperature fermentation and gentle extraction create a refined structure. After fermentation, the wine matures for a further 12 months in large oak barrels (demi-muids), adding complexity without overpowering the fruit.
In the glass, this wine offers an inviting aromatic profile with notes of red fruits and red berries, subtly supported by light wood influences. On the palate, it is supple and balanced, with fine tannins and flavours of cherry and a hint of leather. A versatile and elegant Rhone wine that offers both immediate drinking pleasure and shows character.
