The Scheurebe Gössenheim 2023 from Weingut Höfling is an expressive, dry white wine with distinct character and refined complexity. This Ortswein comes from the best southern slopes of Gössenheim, where the vines grow on calcareous soils mixed with loess loam. Thanks to the steep slopes and unique terroir, the wine develops bright freshness and lively minerality.
In the glass, intense aromas of gooseberry, grapefruit and apricot emerge, complemented by hints of mandarin, boxwood and green tea. The fresh acidity provides a sparkling mouthfeel, while elegant fruit notes and mineral accents come together harmoniously in a long, refined finish.
With an alcohol content of 12%, residual sweetness of 3.7 g/l and acidity of 5.2 g/l, this quality vegan wine is an excellent accompaniment to culinary dishes. Think sautéed langoustines with orange sauce, yellow curry with chicken and basmati rice, classically prepared Franconian asparagus or roast duck with creamy savoy cabbage and dumplings.
