A selection of the best wines from Tiberini, specialized in making red wines, with a focus on Vino Nobile, the pearl of Montepulciano.
In this package you will find the following wines:
- 1x 'Poggiardello' Rosso IGT Toscana: Poggiardello is a typical Tuscan wine, born of tradition and simplicity, but with enough body to be excellent even with richer meals. This wine consists of 85% Prugnolo Gentile, the local variant of Sangiovese, supplemented by 15% other indigenous grape varieties from the vineyards. Vinification takes place in stainless steel and concrete tanks, fully preserving the fresh, fruity expression of the grape material.
- 1x 'Podere Le Caggiolo' Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG: Podere Le Caggiole is Tiberini's most iconic wine and a true reflection of the tradition and culture of Montepulciano. This wine is composed of 90% Prugnolo Gentile, 5% Canaiolo Nero and 5% Mammolo - grapes sourced from all of the estate's vineyards. It is aged for about 24 months in large French oak barrels of 20 to 34 hectoliters, followed by at least a year and a half of rest in bottle.
- 1x 'Maturato' Bianco IGT Toscana: Maturato is a special white wine produced at Tiberini only in the best vintages. It is made from 100% Pulcinculo, a local grape variety also used for the famous Vin Santo of Montepulciano. The name “Maturato” refers to the late harvest: the grapes remain on the vine for an exceptionally long time and are not picked by hand until late October.
- 1x 'Vigneto Fossatone' Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG Riserva: Vigneto Fossatone is an elegant and characterful wine that authentically reflects the essence of the Montepulciano terroir. The grapes, from old vines, grow on a slope with unique exposure to sun and wind. This microclimate, combined with the specific soil structure, creates a wine of remarkable suppleness and finesse.
- 1x 'Vigneto Campaccio' Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG Riserva: Vigneto Campaccio is an exceptional wine that reflects the unique character of a historic plot in Montepulciano. The grapes come from old vines rooted for almost a century in a special soil of compact clay and stone. In this vineyard, where natural harmony and biodiversity are central, grow the indigenous varieties Prugnolo Gentile, Canaiolo Nero and Mammolo.
- 1x 'Vigne Vecchie' Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG: Vigne Vecchie is a tribute to the Tiberini family's oldest vineyard, planted by Giuseppe Tiberini in 1918. This historic vineyard is nurtured with as much care and devotion as a beloved mother figure, for from its deeply rooted vines emerges a wine that embodies wisdom, character and terroir in every detail. Just as elders can convey deep insights with their stories, old vines uniquely know how to express the essence of their environment through wine.
