Miali's Verdeca Single Vineyard is a white wine with a bright straw yellow colour and green reflections, from carefully selected vineyards at an altitude of 430 metres. The wine exudes freshness and finesse, with subtle scents of hawthorn and citrus that merge elegantly in the glass. On the palate, it is crisp, clean and well-structured, with a long, refined finish that invites another sip.
Production of this wine begins with cryomaceration of the berries in contact with the must, followed by gentle pressing. Aging takes place in stone barrels, which helps preserve the pure expression of the grape and the terroir. The soil on which the vines grow is iron-rich and derived from limestone, with a medium-textured texture. Thanks to the use of the low Guyot piping system and a manual harvest in the third week of September, only the best fruit is selected for this wine.
This Verdeca is an excellent accompaniment to fish dishes, soups and seafood, but also comes into its own perfectly as an aperitif. With an alcohol content of 12% and a pleasant acidity of 5.5 g/l, it is a fresh and versatile wine that is best served around 10°C. A true discovery from the Valle d'Itria, it beautifully expresses the unique character of the indigenous Verdeca grape.
