The Langhe DOC Chardonnay I Patriarchi is a refined expression of the unique terroir of the Langa region. In the Neive vineyards, the Chardonnay grapes benefit from the sandy, marl-rich soil and a cooling evening breeze, ensuring optimal ripening. The grapes are harvested by hand in September and undergo a short maceration on the skins before fermentation in French oak barriques from the Allier and Vosges forests. Thanks to aging on the lees and regular bâtonnage, the wine develops wonderful depth and complexity.
The result is a Chardonnay with a lush aromatic profile and a rich, balanced flavor. The combination of ripe fruit notes and subtle oak influences gives the wine an elegant and refined structure. It can be enjoyed immediately, but will develop beautifully for up to six years after harvest. The ideal serving temperature of 10°C allows the finesse and layering to fully express itself.
This wine is an excellent accompaniment to flavorful fish dishes, both hot and cold appetizers, refined pasta dishes, and soft or blue-veined cheeses. The Langhe DOC Chardonnay I Patriarchi is an excellent choice for lovers of elegant, complex white wines with a subtle oaky note.
