Epico Vino Rosso is a tribute to the beginning of a winemaking adventure. This exceptional wine, made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, bears the name "Epico" because it is the result of the very first vinification. With a bright, ruby-red color, Epico embodies youthful freshness while also displaying a strong personality. Intensely perfumed, the wine offers rich acidity and firm tannins on the palate, creating a lively and dynamic tasting experience.
The grapes for Epico are grown on clay and limestone soils with a southerly exposure, contributing to the wine's depth and structure. Traditional Guyot pruning methods are used to keep yields low and enhance quality. After careful selection, the grapes are destemmed and lightly pressed, after which natural fermentation takes place without the addition of selected yeasts. Maceration on the skins lasts 15 days, creating a beautiful balance between fruitiness and tannins. Epico is then aged for 8 months in tanks and another 12 months in bottle, allowing its flavors to fully develop.
Epico is a versatile red wine with a lively and fresh character. Its elegant acidity and pronounced tannins make it perfect for pairing with meat dishes, stews, aged cheeses, risottos, and lasagna. Serve it at 18-20°C to fully enjoy its intense aromas and layered flavors. Epico is a wine that tells the story of a beginning, a first step in an epic adventure of passion and craftsmanship.
