Torelli's Alta Langa Bianco is an elegant sparkling wine from Piedmont, made according to the traditional “Metodo Classico,” or refermentation in bottle. This wine carries the prestigious designation of origin Alta Langa DOCG, a designation reserved exclusively for sparkling wines from a single vintage (millesimato), produced in a specific area between the provinces of Cuneo, Asti and Alessandria. The origin of this tradition lies in the 19th century cellars of Canelli, where the first Italian bubbles were created using this method.
For this white version, Torelli chose a refined blend of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay. After secondary fermentation, the wine remains aged for more than 30 months on its fine yeast cells, giving it depth, elegance and a silky mousse. The wine is released in the extra brut style, with only 4 to 5 grams of residual sugar per liter, beautifully preserving its fresh and pure character.
The Pinot Noir gives structure and grip, while the Chardonnay provides finesse and freshness. The result is a complex, mineral and exceptionally fresh sparkling wine, ideal as a stylish aperitif, but also a wonderful companion to refined dishes such as sashimi, ceviche, oysters or a light tartare of sea bass. A true tribute to Piedmont tradition.
