Product description
Agnelli Viassone’s Barbera d’Alba is a characterful red wine made from 100% Barbera grapes. With its full body and fruity character, it is an excellent companion to hearty meat dishes and cheese.
The grapes come from carefully selected vineyards with different exposures. The first harvest from the northwesterly facing vineyard took place in 2020. The grapes are hand-picked and collected in perforated crates. Some come from the vineyard below the winery, which faces west and gives the wine a firm structure. The remaining grapes come from the vineyard with the ciabot, a traditional vineyard hut, which helps preserve the wine’s freshness even in dry years. After harvesting, the wine is aged for ten months in tonneau barrels.
In the glass, the wine displays an intense ruby-red color. The nose reveals pronounced aromas of forest fruits, blackberries and raspberries, complemented by subtle spicy notes. On the palate, it stands out for its fruitiness, harmony and full-bodied character, with a pleasant balance and firm structure. With an alcohol content of 14.5%, this Barbera d’Alba is a rich and versatile wine for lovers of expressive, fruit-driven reds.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: €6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
